Tribe has got some new funding and support, which means more reliable service. Upgrades to the hardware and the software are coming. Its not going to be as slick as Facebook anytime soon, but we have something special here. The Tribe community is unique, and well worth preserving and growing. -

I'm herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre -- have been laying low from tribe.net 'cause no one seems to post that much here.... have been missing the days of lively discussions....
but my time's all been going into the new temple we're creating; I have spent the last month, every day, literally, working from waking to sleeping to get the new spiritual center in the Santa Cruz mountains together -- we moved into a massive place in Bonny Doon, near Santa Cruz two weeks ago.

and I do enjoy Facebook, actually, but not for the discussion areas, their format is ridiculous.
mostly I'm in it for old college buddies and the Scrabble application. online Scrabble is the bomb.
anyway, am STILL in the middle of our retreat -- gyah, leading it in the new place, 20 people in residence, sleeping in the different temple rooms. www.karmatalk.com/santacruz...e%20G.O.D.
should probably get back to all the retreat folks........... most of whom are currently sleeping.

Mon, November 24, 2008 - 12:03 AM*grinning* about the statue... yeah, wait'll you see the 3-foot living murthi outside on our deck.... 350 lbs of Baba. quite amazing. it took 5 guys to move him on a hand truck. haven't put him in the main temple yet.
of course I'm okay -- just working super hard. we had 20 people over for a weekend meditation & knowledge retreat, with meals and seva staff and everything. hilarious, considering that we were unpacking boxes in two of the rooms just, like, 5 days ago. (have been in the place for just over 2 weeks now.)
I think it was a huge success; am still reeling from the beauty and divine grace that was flowing the entire weekend.
